Quality Inn & Suites Twin Falls North

For one night, the price is decent, but I wouldn’t choose this place for a longer stay, and I wouldn’t return given the condition of our room. The bathroom smelled awful even though the room itself was okay. Building B’s hallway reeked of cigarettes, and its stairwell smelled of marijuana. The beds were passable, but bring your own pillows; the small square ones were uncomfortable. The entrance to Building A was okay. It took a long time to get our room despite booking ahead on Priceline, and the front desk person seemed irritated when checking us in. Service wasn’t great. Housekeeping knocked on doors at 5 am, much too early for travelers coming off a long drive. We could hear a neighbor’s TV in the bathroom, and the toilet was extremely loud when flushed. There were also a lot of problems in the room: holes in the blackout curtain covered with tape, a torn sheer curtain that looked cut with something sharp, a lampshade burnt and melted where the hot bulb touched it, a dent in the wall, and sticky black tar on the floor. The door was almost impossible to lock unless you leaned on it. The top lock was loose, and the card box got in the way of the door closing fully. The phone number cover was dark yellow and barely legible, though I didn’t photograph it. I also didn’t photograph the smoke alarm, which had no blinking light like alarms should. The shower head needs replacing because of calcium buildup, even if that isn’t a huge issue. The photos show the curtain and other damage. I don’t recommend this hotel.

The beds were comfortable and we slept well in Building B. It smelled alright there, not bad like some earlier reviews said. The hotel was clean, service was great, and breakfast was plentiful and good. The pool was a relaxing, inviting spot. The hot tub looked dirty, though, and its jets didn’t work. When I took a bath and shower, the water was barely hot.

The beds were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, and the price was great. It’s also handy for dinner and for getting back on the road in the morning. I gave it five stars because this was what I needed from a hotel while traveling. Some people judge places for things they can’t control, like other guests being noisy. Bring earplugs or white noise if you need it, and don’t fixate on old carpet stains. Thanks for a good stop at a good price.

Update: after I sent in feedback, the general manager contacted me personally, apologized, and made things right. I appreciated the thoughtful, professional follow-up and that they took my concern seriously. The night itself was frustrating after a long day on the road. There were three adults, and we’d booked a room with a bed and sofa bed, but the sofa bed had no sheets or pillows for our son. The front desk didn’t help or offer another room, and the manager’s response was basically, “too bad.” It felt indifferent. The mattress was harder than I like, the hotel needs updating, and the room wasn’t worth the price. Breakfast was forgettable, although they did have eggs and sausages.
