Rest Inn

The hot water lasts and the shower works well, but the roaches are everywhere except the bed and shower, which is awful. After reading other comments about people not getting refunds, I didn’t even try to ask for my money back. If you just need a cheap bed and shower fast, you can come here, but be ready for roaches.

Really nice staff, and the place was very clean. Great stay.

If cleanliness matters to you, this isn’t the place. Some furniture has mold, the hardwood floors look like they’ve never been cleaned, and the rooms smell like cigarette smoke despite the “No Smoking” signs on every door. Hot water is hit or miss, so you may end up showering in the middle of the night. The owner couple argue loudly during their morning rounds, so don’t count on sleeping in. A little bug showed up in the sink every day; luckily it couldn’t climb out, so I washed them down the drain. I also killed a spider and a few roaches. I’ll never pay before seeing a hotel room again, and I’ll check reviews first. There are way too many other places to choose from.

The staff are wonderful, and the price is low. The shower has hot water, and the bathroom has been newly remodeled. Each unit has its own carport, which is handy if you need to do minor work on your vehicle. This must have been a top of the line motel in its day, and it’s very accommodating for travelers.
