The breakfast room was magical, with so much natural light, and the buffet had pretty much anything you could want. If you need something else for your diet, ask, as they might be able to accommodate you. Dinner at the restaurant was great too. We booked through Amex FHR, and the property exceeded all our expectations. It's a great place to stay.

The hotel's Bavarian-style architecture gives it a cozy alpine character that feels different from a typical mountain resort. It was quiet during our off-season visit, which made the whole stay feel more relaxed and personal. We were there through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, and the attentive, warm staff made a real difference. They were helpful and welcoming without hovering. We looked forward to breakfast each morning. There was a wide range, including Nutella beignets and eggs Benedict, and it was all well prepared. It was a peaceful stay with thoughtful touches throughout, especially nice if you enjoy a quieter atmosphere and attentive service.

The location is hard to beat, and our room and the service were impeccable. John, the cincierge, went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The Sonnenalp lives up to its reputation. Highly recommend it.

We loved the room's heated bathroom floor, and the customer service was great. The village was easy to explore on foot from this perfect location. My husband and I enjoyed our stay, though the bed was very uncomfortable.
