Motel 6 Venice, FL

The staff were all pleasant and kept busy cleaning and working around the motel. It was very clean and had a good setup, and the pool area was really nice. I highly recommend it!

Best Motel 6 I've stayed at. We were there just one night for a beach trip, and it worked well for us. The room had a fridge and microwave, and it was worth the money. The bed was kind of hard for me, though.

For just one night, this place impressed us much more than pricier brands we've used. The room was very clean, the A/C worked well, the bed was comfortable, and there were no odd smells. Our particular room had a generous fridge and freezer. The front desk staff were professional. They explained the $50 check-in deposit and, without us needing to ask, told us how soon the amount would be returned to the card. In the morning, besides housekeeping turning rooms over, I saw two staff members working on longer-term cleaning and maintenance projects. Based on this stay, the place deserves your hotel or motel dollars. It's significantly better than its budget price suggests.

The room was awful, though the bed was clean, the A/C worked well, and the area was quiet. The floor was filthy, sticky, and grimy. We had to scrub the shower bottom ourselves because it was covered in wet yellow liquid. There was hair all over the shower walls and in the towels, and pills had been left in the freezer. Both the night and morning front desk women were very nice and helpful.
