The rooms were clean, apart from a spot on the chair that showed up under a black light, so we covered it with a towel. A few cosmetic fixes would help, but the sheets and air felt clean, the wood floors were a plus, and the room had what we needed. The sign said we could ask at the desk for anything else. The small workout room was nice after being stuck in a car. The clerk made this small hotel sound less appealing than it was. It was close enough to where we needed to go in town, with a cute diner next door if you don't want the continental breakfast. Goodfellas across the street has the best pizza in at least two states, maybe 49, except Connecticut, haha. I think they'd try to make your stay right. Worth a visit, and enjoy the town.

We booked online in August and called right away to confirm we could bring our small dog and get a pet-friendly room. The woman said we were all set and the fee was $20 a night. I called again in September, then once more during our six-hour drive to check the check-in time and confirm the dog. That time the woman said they knew nothing about our pet and our room wasn't pet friendly. At first she said nothing could be done because the hotel was fully booked. Since we were already halfway there, she called another guest who didn't have a dog and switched the rooms. I'm glad it worked out, but what if that guest had a dog too? The hotel itself felt very dirty. The baseboards, corners, furniture areas, shower head, and toilet handle were grimy. When my husband spilled water and I wiped it up with a white towel, the towel turned black from the floor. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. I felt dirty leaving. There was hardly ever any staff around, and someone we knew there ended up with a master key that could open any room. We won't stay there again. Do better, Quality Inn. It's far from quality.

I picked this place because it was near mountain Creek, but I wasn't impressed. The room was dated, had a strange smell during our stay, and there were a couple of water stains on the ceiling. Breakfast had less variety than at other places I've visited.

I keep coming back because the staff are friendly and dependable, and they make sure you're comfortable. The rooms are clean, the service is great, and breakfast is included. There are smoking areas too. I really can't complain. They feel like a second family, and I feel safe here.

During the winter storm, the room was dirty, smelled, the toilets barely worked, and there was dirt everywhere. A motel would probably have been cheaper and cleaner. Even so, I might have slept in my car if the overnight temperature hadn't been close to zero. A member of our group got locked out while I was making a quick trip to Wawa. I had the key, but got delayed. When I called Ms. Drake, she asked, “Where are you?” and pressed me about why I was there, with a nasty attitude. She eventually let my guest back in. The trouble started earlier. I had booked a double queen room and called to request early check-in. A polite woman said no because the hotel was too busy, which was fine. A few hours later, Ms. Drake called from a different number, with “Days Inn” showing on caller ID rather than “Choice Inn” or “Quality Inn.” She wanted a different card for the room. The number wasn't on the website and seemed to be her personal cell, so I hesitated to share card details. I asked whether we could handle it online or try my original card again. She threatened to cancel the booking and kept saying the hotel was busy. This was during a major storm, nearby hotels were full, and the county had said driving was nearly impossible. I felt I had no real choice but to give her a second card number by phone, and the charge went through. Then she asked how many people were staying. There were three of us, though I'd booked a double queen room. She said only two were allowed and a third would mean a fine, a limit that had never been disclosed when I booked. When I said again there were three, she threatened to cancel and said she wouldn't let us stay. With no alternative, one person in our group slept in their car in temperatures of 0-5 degrees. At the hotel, Ms. Drake was much less confrontational in person and checked us in without a problem. This may be the worst experience I've had with a hotel employee. Based on her replies to other reviews, I expect she'll deny this account too, but everything I've written is accurate. Stay away unless it's your only option. I've seen other people describe similar experiences with Ms. Drake. She'll likely comment on this review too and deny it.
