Fairfield Inn & Suites Victoria

The room was hot, and the thermostat wouldn't cool it below 72 degrees. Its floor felt slightly slanted, the door was hard to open, and the halls creaked loudly. The side entrance didn't work either, making it a hassle to get in and out. The bathroom water ran extremely hot, nearly to an unsafe level, and the decorative starfish there looked out of place and dated. Much of the hotel was shut off for renovations, and the unfinished area felt unsettling. We were also told the elevators weren't working and breakfast ran only from 6 to 8 AM, a very short window. The pool was locked even though it was meant to be open until 10 PM. The front desk said it was closed but gave no reason. The gym was cramped, with equipment packed into what felt like an ordinary guest room. Check-in was quick and neutral, but the rest of the stay was disappointing. With the renovations, broken amenities, temperature problems, and uncomfortable atmosphere, I expected more for the price and brand. I wouldn't stay at this Fairfield again.

I'm in a wheelchair, and with the elevator out there was no way to reach the upper floors except by stairs. The staff treated us very courteously and gave us a prompt refund. I'd like to stay another time.

I was charged too much because their system made errors, and they wouldn't refund me. The room smelled of damp towels and mold, and the elevators didn't work. The whole building needs renovation, not just one half. I had come from out of town because my mother was hospitalized, and this was the worst hospital stay I've ever had. Find somewhere else if you can.

The room was amazing for the price, and I'd gladly stay again. The elevator was out, though, and part of the property was being renovated.
