Lone Star Inn & Suites

The rooms were dirty, and there wasn't any shower soap. When I asked, the woman at the desk handed me hand soap 😑. She was also trying to charge me more than expected and got an attitude when I said I'd stayed there many times and had never been charged that much.

That 5:30 breakfast was a great surprise since I usually miss breakfast when I have to work early. I stayed a week for work after choosing this cheaper place instead of the LA Quinta across the street, where I'd stayed the week before. I expected a downgrade to save money, but I have no complaints. The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the AC was cold. I'll stay here whenever work brings me back.

The main reason the nearby location is useful is that there are restaurants, a pharmacy next door, and emergency services like the hospital close by. The hotel itself feels like a last resort, and for what it is, I'd give it one star. The surrounding businesses are what make the location worth five stars.

The staff were amazing, but the room was a mess: dirty tub, dirty jacuzzi mirror and lamp, a toilet that wouldn't flush, and an unvacuumed floor. It felt like a roach motel or truck stop. I got my refund and moved to the Comfort Suites, which was waaaaaay nicer and $30 cheaper. The maintenance person and cleaning crew SUCK.
