We were here because my husband had a medical procedure nearby, and the helpful, welcoming staff made the stay easier. The hotel is brand new, convenient to Virginia beach, and close to plenty of restaurants. We love the Dirty Buffalo. The breakfast buffet was much appreciated, and Panda Express is right in the parking lot. With Target nearby, it’s easy to pick up things or grab a quick bite. The gym was great for a short workout, and having washers and dryers meant we could do laundry while exercising. The only snag was the geese playing in the road at the entrance, so we had to drive carefully around them.

Meghan at the front desk made extending our stay by a day completely seamless, and everyone we met was friendly, from the breakfast girl to housekeeping. The rates were reasonable, and the rooms were spacious, clean, new, and everything worked well. We were in Virginia Beach to vacation and see relatives, and the hotel’s central location suited us. It had been open for a year when we stayed. I’ve been in plenty of hotels, including a downtown Chicago five-star place for a work rewards ceremony, and this is by far the best one I’ve experienced. Hilton people, pay this staff well and keep them, they’ve got the place running spot on.

The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel, and the woman helping with it was fantastic. Meghan at the desk was really helpful, too. The place was very clean, and I’m so glad I chose it. If we’re in the area again, I’ll definitely stay here.

On January 15, 2026, I checked out at 11 a.m. after staying in a room and planned to book another one. I didn’t know my card had been blocked because of suspected fraud, so I had to sit in the large lobby while I tried to sort out the banking problem and decide whether to stay. I was vaping while I waited. Management told me to stop, and I stopped immediately and apologized. Staff hadn’t said anything before that, so I’d assumed it was okay, as I’ve vaped in other places. A few minutes later, the manager said I had 20 minutes to book or I’d have to leave. I’m from New York, and I didn’t take that well. I said some mean things, but made no threats. They called the police, and I ended up standing out in the cold until they arrived. I felt I was being pushed out for not moving quickly enough, even though I wasn’t bothering anyone and had stopped vaping when asked. The officers understood what had happened and kindly drove me to another hotel. They told me some establishments in the South consider vaping disrespectful. I loved the hotel and the room was nice, but the manager’s treatment was distasteful and deeply disappointing. I didn’t deserve to be put out into the cold, especially with only 20 minutes to resolve a banking problem that was taking much longer. I’ll never come back.
