Seahawk Motel

The staff were really friendly, and the views from the room were beautiful. The bed was clean, but the bathroom needs updating and a better clean. I’m 5'3 and the shower was way too small. My arms touched the curtain and the wall at the same time, and neither looked clean. The floors were dirty when we arrived, so I used wet wipes to mop a path to walk on. I wouldn’t stay here again!

We booked after seeing it advertised as excellent on a booking site, so that’s my main issue with the site, lol. The motel wasn’t excellent by any means. It’s very old, rundown, and refurbished, though you can tell they try to maintain it. We were put on the top floor and had a nice view. The room was old and musty, but appeared clean. The bed and pillows felt like cement and bricks, which was our biggest complaint. If we’d been able to sleep comfortably, we might have overlooked the rest. The wind howled like crazy on the top floor, and the shower flooded the bathroom. Honestly, all you can do is laugh. Check-in and check-out were quick, and the service was pleasant. They provided plenty of towels and a small fan. We only stopped for the night to take a break from driving, so I can’t speak to the pool, hot tub, or anything like that.

The room had a microwave, fridge, hairdryer, iron and little ironing board, plus a desk, dressing table and luggage rack. It was very clean and affordable, with balconies overlooking the beach and direct beach access. The heated pool and hot tub were wonderful, and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend it.

We’ll be back next year. The price and location made for a perfect vacation, and we’re glad our usual place was booked so we found this gem. It was our first time at this hotel, though our third trip to Virginia Beach. Thanks, seahawk motel, looking forward to seeing you again.
