Comfort Suites Visalia Convention Center

Now you're asking me for a review, which is an interesting move. Since I booked through a third party, Choice Hotels won't give me points. I'll leave my review with that third party instead. You can check with them for the details, seems fair.

I've been coming to this location for over eight years, and the staff are amazing. Being downtown makes it easy to meet friends and clients for dinner. It's the best hotel ever, and I'd give it ten stars if I could.

We couldn't find parking, so we had to check out and find another hotel. The place has only about 15 very small spaces and shares a parking ramp with the convention center. Event attendees took spots meant for hotel guests, and the cars in those spaces didn't even display hotel parking slips. Nobody enforced the rules. I drove around for almost two hours before the lot guard said I could use a handicap spot. I told her I couldn't do that, but she insisted the Police wouldn't tow my car. It's extremely inconvenient to have guests fight for parking, or have nowhere to park at all. The receptionist said there'd be no refund because the room had been used and couldn't be made available anymore. Why post parking signs if nobody enforces them? NO PARKING!!

The rooms were spacious and clean, better than I expected. I spent three nights here in August 2025, and breakfast was a nice bonus: the receptionist gave me vouchers for complimentary meals. It was a buffet with a good variety, served around 5 to 8 or 9 a.m., if I remember right. I especially liked the scrambled eggs and roasted potato cubes, and couldn't resist having three plates. This Visalia hotel is one of the closest places to Sequoia National Park, and the Sequoia shuttle stop right across the road made pickup and drop-off very convenient. The woman at reception, whose name I didn't catch, was welcoming, friendly, professional, and always smiling.
