Julia made us feel so welcome and at home. She was the best kind of host, and this became the best hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. My family and I travel a lot, but this place really stood out. It has its own soul and character, and felt like home rather than a hotel. We enjoyed the house so much that we spent more time there than at Sequoia Park. Truly remarkable.

We stayed here before going to Sequoia National Park, and the room was both comfortable and full of historic details. The manager, Julieth, stayed up until 11pm to welcome us, then picked a fresh head of broccoli for us from the garden in the morning. That was some of the best hospitality I’ve experienced. Thanks for such a lovely stay, I can’t recommend it enough.

Dulce, the innkeeper, gave us incredible service, and the complimentary cocktail hour was a great perk. Coffee and pastries were good, and the pool and jacuzzi were a dream. The inn is just steps from downtown shops and restaurants, and close to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. It feels like a hug from the past, beautifully restored and full of reminders of simpler times.

My daughter and I had a peaceful, comfortable stay at JD Hyde Historic Inn in early May. We especially liked the jacuzzi and pool for winding down, and the coffee and muffins in the morning were a thoughtful touch. The property has plenty of charm, with lovely gardens, a spacious yard, and cozy outdoor spots, including a fire pit that made evenings relaxing. I’d return and recommend it to anyone looking for a restful getaway.

The hosts were kind, supportive, and made sure we had what we needed. This was the best stay I’ve ever had, and I travel a lot. The historic setting has real charm and a warm welcome, with thoughtful attention to detail. It felt like an experience in history as much as a B&B. There’s all the tech needed for a business stay, and it would also suit a romantic getaway or a family trip before heading to the woods. Simply fantastic!
