Free parking made it easy to drive everywhere, though downtown and the silos are about a 15 minute walk. We enjoyed the stay and would come back. The place was quiet, clean, and the beds were comfortable. I’d asked for a top floor room in a quiet spot, and that’s what we got. There were lots of outlets and USB ports, and the AC, mini fridge, ice machine, and elevators all worked as they should. Housekeeping did a great job replacing the dirty towels with clean ones. Breakfast was the usual free hotel spread, with a few hot choices like eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, plus waffles you make yourself. There weren’t any gluten free options. The pool is tiny, covered, and tucked onto a small outdoor patio, so the water never really warms up. There were only two loungers, and the pool next door looked more inviting. We tried it once, but a little league team came back from a tournament and interrupted our time there. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault, there just wasn’t enough room for everyone to enjoy the area. We mostly kept to ourselves, and had no real complaints.

Brandon deserves a big thank you. I couldn’t make the first night of my four night booking, so I called on check in day. He was professional, courteous, and sorted things out so I could arrive anytime the next morning. Promote him immediately! The property was clean and recently renovated, with a spacious lounge and reception area, a nice fitness center, helpful professional staff, and plenty of food nearby. The serious downside was the water. The shower never got properly hot, so a long hot shower wasn’t happening. I had the same experience at the LaQuinta next to Dallas Fort Worth Airport, and I’m convinced it’s a disgraceful corporate penny pinching measure to save on water heating. Management, please spare me the “sorry for the inconvenience” and “we’ll look into it” routine. I’ve traveled through 83 countries and stayed at hundreds of hotels. I know what you’re doing, so save the BS story. Also, the walls are paper thin and I could hear the neighbors.

The front desk team were so friendly and greeted us whenever we came back into the hotel. Our room was much larger than we expected, very clean, and had comfortable beds. We were in town for an event at the Mayborn Museum at Baylor University, and the stay was really pleasant. Breakfast was yummy too. I especially appreciated the Greek yogurt and cranberry juice, since I don’t always see those at hotel breakfasts, and I think they may cost a bit more.

The only small issue was that the hair conditioner bottle was empty. Otherwise, I was really impressed. The room was clean and nice, with a big open shower and plenty of hot water. The jacuzzi and little pool were a nice bonus, and the lobby had lots of room and a pleasant sitting area. Breakfast was okay. The hotel is within 10 minutes of the zoo, Magnolia shopping center, and Dr Pepoer Museum. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, and this one in Waco stands out.

I had an executive King room and found it spacious and comfortable. It was quiet too, even though the hotel is close to i35 and downtown, I didn’t hear road noise. Check in and check out were easy through the virtual system, the staff were friendly, and the price was fair with no surprise charges. The pool area was nice and the breakfast buffet was decent. I’ll probably stay here again.
