Super 8 Warner Robins

I was in town for a funeral and chose this place because it was close to my loved one's house. I usually stay at higher-end hotels and I'm a Diamond member with Wyndham Rewards. I'll admit, I felt a bit sketched out when I first pulled up, so I apologize for judging too quickly. Meeting James, the manager, changed that. He's friendly, genuinely nice, and sets a high bar for hotel managers. The room exceeded what I expected for the price. The bed and pillows were more comfortable than the higher-end Wyndham (La Quinta) down the road. The shower pressure was good, the water got hot right away after my 8-hour drive, and the linens were clean and soft. The curtains blocked the parking lot lights and made the room dark. It was so quiet at night that the silence felt eerie, and I slept really well. The internet was strong in my room, which helped me get work done. I didn't try the breakfast or coffee and didn't use the TV, so I can't speak to those. I booked three nights, but checked out the day after I arrived, after the funeral. I didn't want to add stress to an older family member because of what was going on with some of my relatives. I wasn't expecting any refund, but the woman at the desk offered to refund a day and a half. That was a big plus. The only disappointment was finding out they're not pet friendly. Past irresponsible owners spoiled it for responsible ones, so I can't stay here when traveling with my husband and our two furry children. When I'm traveling solo in the area, though, I'll return. This will be my go-to as an older woman traveling alone.
