The staff were helpful and accommodating to my specific needs, and the property was very clean and well maintained. It's pet friendly, with lots of grass for walks. Restaurants and major shopping stores are within walking distance. I'd recommend staying here and would come back.

Don't stay here. The room was disgusting. There was blood on the wall, dirt everywhere, and I wore shoes the whole time because I didn't know what was on the floors. The sheet was so thin I could see the stains on the unprotected bed underneath, so we wouldn't sleep on it and went to Walmart to buy linens. I even took my car floor mats inside to stand on while showering because I didn't trust the bathroom had been cleaned properly. The water looked milky, plumbing fixtures were missing from the tub, and the bathroom door couldn't close because it hit the toilet. There was a light fixture in the shower that seemed like a shock risk. The AC filters looked like they hadn't been changed since it was installed. I came in after working all day and smelling like BO, but felt cleaner then than when I left. I've stayed in rundown, dirty places before, but this was the worst. At check-in, I was told there was a security deposit. I said I'd been ripped off before when a deposit wasn't returned, and the guy at the desk promised it would only be a hold and the money wouldn't actually be taken. That wasn't true. I was charged 50 bucks, and the charge went through instead of staying a hold. It was a terrible stay, and I feel the staff lied and stole from me. Since it's only 50 bucks, the cops won't do anything, and small claims court would cost more. This place needs to be investigated for fraud and theft.

I spent two weeks here for work and had a quiet, peaceful, relaxing stay. No one bothered me or my vehicle, and I didn't see a single bug. For the price, the Days Inn in Washington is a fantastic choice, especially if you work on the road. If you want the Marriott, go to the Marriott, but the rates here are hard to beat, including the weekly rate. The location is a big plus. Waffle House is in the same parking lot, several fast food places are just across the street, Wall Mart is less than a quarter mile away, and historic downtown is about 1 mile away, with some great upscale dining there. The exterior is a little outdated, though they're working on it, and the swimming pool is being completely redone. I saw them installing brand new curtains too. The owners and staff are super nice and go out of their way to help. I watched them accommodate people every day, even when those people were unreasonably rude. The beds were clean and very comfortable, with a choice of firm or soft pillows. The shower worked well and had hot water, the refrigerator was so cold I turned it down, and the AC could freeze you out. The carpet has been replaced with laminate flooring, the floors stay clean, the linen was fresh, and the toilet flushed every time. Hospitality goes a long way, and they do their level best. Come with good energy and you'll get it back in surplus. Even if you don't, they'll still try to accommodate you. For Washington N.C., I highly recommend giving this place a chance.

On my first business trip to this area, I picked this hotel because the price was low and it was easy to find food and restaurants nearby. I liked the service once I stayed here. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and they helped me with whatever I needed right away. The room was clean too.
