Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Downtown

The location and the staff member who helped us with the crib were the only good parts of the stay. He tried to help however he could, but the room and service fell short in several ways. We’d requested a crib several days ahead, yet it was left unassembled in the room. It took us and hotel staff over an hour to work out how to put it together. The room also wasn’t properly cleaned before we arrived; there was an ear swab on the floor. Our only window faced other rooms, with no street view. At night, the atmosphere didn’t feel very family-friendly, and when we needed help, the room phone gave us no clear way to reach reception.

I was tagging along on my friend’s work trip, and Stella made the whole visit smooth and stress-free, from check-in through checkout. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, and her professionalism really stood out. I had an excellent stay and will definitely come back the next time I’m in town. Highly recommend!

The only thing I’d change was the view from our room, which wasn’t very interesting. The staff were friendly, the room seemed clean and modern, and the elevators were reasonably quick, though the hotel wasn’t very busy that day. There’s a Metro station across the street, with Starbucks and a few restaurants just a short walk away.

The day before I got to Garden inn was complete chaos. Then Dannie and Stella welcomed me with real compassion and such great hospitality. They turned all that chaos into order for me. I know they were doing their jobs, but they were amazing people, and I’m really grateful to them.
