Holiday Inn Express Waterloo Cedar Falls by IHG

The bed was really comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great. Our room was clean, modern, and well kept. Nice amenities and good service, too. We stayed one night and would definitely come back.

The breakfast here beat all the other motels we've stayed at. The room was comfortable and very clean, as was the property. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the location felt very secure. You can tell they care about maintaining the place. We were in town for one night and would stay again in a heartbeat. Great job!

The bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and the restaurant next door was really good and an easy walk. But the hotel needs a renovation and more careful cleaning. There was a moldy kind of smell when I walked in. In the room, I saw what looked like melted residue on the bedside table, and the table by the chair seemed to have something all over it. I didn't want to touch it, so I couldn't tell what it was. The tub had rust around it, and there was a fake fingernail in the hallway outside the room.

I wish I could give this zero stars. The customer service was awful. When you call, they hang up on you or just let the phone ring. I tried to cancel because of the service, but the general manager Sarah still charged me even though I didn't feel comfortable staying there. I was already trying to give holiday inn IHG another chance, and this confirmed for me that they aren't what I think of as hospitality anymore.
