Ramada By Wyndham Watertown

The mattress in room 207 needs replacing. It was old and had divots, and I woke up with a backache, though it went away quickly after I stretched. I got a halfway decent night’s sleep. I probably should’ve asked the front desk for another room, since everyone there was friendly and accommodating, so I partly blame myself for not saying something. The room and the rest of the place were very clean. I was stuck in Watertown during a massive snowstorm and needed somewhere to stay. The Ramada had the highest reviews I found, and the talk of a great breakfast was true. I had a king suite with everything I needed, including a refrigerator, microwave, TV, and air conditioner and heater. I used the heater, obviously. The windows gave a nice view. Chad was really cool, and I’d choose this place if I needed to stay longer. I’d rate it four and a half out of five because of the mattress. There’s a Mattress Express up the road, 1800-new-beds. They sell 12 name brand mattresses and have plenty that could go in that room.

It’s quiet and affordable, with comfortable beds and clean rooms. The staff are the sweetest, and the location is prime for shopping and restaurants, right off the 81 exit. This place gets overlooked and underused. We really enjoyed staying here!

Bad weather had me looking for a room at the last minute, and the staff were very helpful getting me checked in. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was very good. Great place to stay.

The heat was impossible to control, so I had to open the window to cool down. There were stains everywhere, the beds were broken, and the sink was chipped and rusted. The floor was dark enough that you could see dirt all over it. Smoking isn’t allowed in the rooms, but the person next to my wife and me smoked anyway. We came from Canada for a weekend getaway, and what a mistake. If you’re after a low-budget, outdated hotel, this is the one. I’ve stayed at Ramada hotels across the country, and this will be my last.
