The rooms are clean and comfortable, and now I’ve got a great food adviser too. I wanted sushi tonight and couldn’t decide, so Ms Brianna, hopefully I spelled that right, came through with a recommendation for Kobe. It was really good, and she’s already suggested another place for me. If you’re unsure where to eat and she’s working, ask her. Thanks!

The front desk was fine when we checked in, but later another receptionist questioned me about my dog in a way that felt like an interrogation. My husband is an Army veteran with PTSD, and the dog is his legitimate service animal. The receptionist falsely insisted we had two dogs, then kept arguing with me. She demanded proof that the dog was a service animal. I found that inappropriate and a clear violation of service animal laws. When I tried to explain, she doubled down and made incorrect claims about what was legal. The whole exchange was frustrating and disrespectful. Traveling is already stressful when you have a service animal for medical reasons, and the staff’s lack of training and basic empathy made it worse. If you rely on a service animal, you may face ignorance and unnecessary confrontation here instead of support and professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend staying.

Destiny at the front desk treated me with such kindness and understanding. She handled my situation with compassion and professionalism, and her customer service really stood out. It’s not every day you meet someone so courteous and attentive, and it made a real difference to my experience. The hotel should be proud of the kindness and integrity she brings to her work. Thank you, Destiny, for representing the hotel so well.

Jillian, the blonde who checked us out, had a smile on her face and handled checkout quickly. She was so sweet. We also had trouble with the TV, and she called maintenance right away. The repairman fixed it in no time. The staff communicated easily with one another and made us feel welcome, almost like being welcomed into their home. I’ve stayed at several other Choice hotels and haven’t been looked after like this. The room was great, though the pillows seemed a little outdated, so I’m glad I brought my own. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and it was a really good stay. 10/10, I’d come back next time I’m traveling to Waycross Georgia.
