Parkway Inn

After a long day on my own, I felt very safe here, and it was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, the lobby and outside area were clean, and Room 33 was very clean too. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were good, and the blanket was so soft. The room has had some updates but still keeps its old school charm. I could have used a better outlet for the blow dryer, though the one on the light worked, and the shower pressure could be stronger. I understand it’s an older building. It was a little farther from interstate 40 than I wanted, but I’d definitely stay again.

The road gets busy and a little noisy. The website mentions room service, but there isn’t any. Still, there are plenty of places to eat just a few minutes away by car, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The place is dated but very, VERY clean. I think the carpets are new, which is a bonus. The bedding was fresh and comfortable, and the AC unit worked well.

Loved this old school gem and thought it was great value. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom spotless, and the bed comfortable. We’ll stay here again.

Traffic was a little noisy, though it eased off by ten pm, so bring a fan. It’s close to grocery stores, Dunkin Donuts, gas, and Maggie Valley. I plan to return soon.
