Microtel Inn by Wyndham Duncan/Spartanburg

I stayed the night of June 4-5 and checked out around 8:00 AM on June 5. Afterward, I was charged another $72.83 for June 5-6, even though I wasn't there then or using any hotel services. I’m asking for that unused booking to be refunded. Here’s how it happened: shortly after midnight, around 12:15 AM on June 5, I booked through Booking.com and missed that it had set the reservation for June 5-6. I actually needed June 4-5. When I arrived at the desk, I tried to change the dates in the app. Booking.com sent the hotel a change request, but the employee said it couldn’t be changed overnight and suggested I book directly with the hotel. I did that and paid $93.24 for the night of June 4-5. Thank you for reviewing this and helping with the refund.

The staff were great, the rooms were clean, and everything else worked well. The bathroom lighting was the one problem. It switched off after 10 seconds, which I timed, so the shower went dark unless I waved my arm outside the curtain. There was no way to keep the lights on. That needs fixing.

We had such a peaceful, relaxing mini trip together, one of our most memorable motel stays and maybe our best. The staff were friendly, respectful, and helpful with what we needed. It felt family oriented too, so it could work well for a family vacation or just some time away from everyday life. The little girl we got to share popcorn with was absolutely beautiful! The location is really nice, and the hotel had everything you'd expect. There's even a bench over the AC unit, which my 10-year-old son called a futon. Since it's a Wyndham, I’m happy to stay here. I love Wyndham hotels and wouldn't choose anywhere else.
