Motel 6 Wenatchee, WA

The third room still wasn’t right: the water stayed lukewarm, the comforter had brown marks, and the shower fixtures sat about half an inch out from the wall, with what looked like mold around them. There was grime on the walls too. In the first room, there was stuff in the tub. I hope it was just a lot of dirt and not backed-up sewage. I showed a photo to the front desk, and the guy asked what I wanted him to do. I asked him to clean it or move me, but he just stood there. The second room’s door wouldn’t open, and he seemed annoyed, as if it were my fault. He couldn’t open it either. When I checked out, all I got was “ok.” The front desk was super unfriendly. Pick somewhere else. This place is bad.

The units were dirty, and a lot of things were broken, including the large window screen and lock, which seemed to leave an easy way for someone to get in. My key card failed three times and locked me out. When I asked for help, the front desk worker blamed me and the cold weather for the door handle not working. That’s a dumb excuse. If the equipment can’t work all year, the place shouldn’t stay open all year. I had to argue before he finally offered a new room or a refund, and even then I didn’t get all my money back. The black, tar-like stuff in the photo was near the corner seat by the bed and looked snotty. Gross. I know it’s a Motel 6, but come on, maintain the building. The front desk worker was very rude.

Motel 6 has been part of American culture for as long as I can remember, with that promise to leave a light on for us. These days, when we’re looking for a safe place to sleep and use your AI technology, that means a lot. As a true Star Wars fan and part of the 12th man family, my dad, Tracy Mitchell, used to be program director at KJR in Seattle and K Hits in Boise. He believes Mr. Lucius loves the beauty of our Evergreen State. It’s a perfect place for Chewbacca’s family tree. Happy Superbowl Weekend from our family to yours. The room was clean, comfortable, and a good price, just what I wanted while I was in Wenatchee for a church function. It has a modern look with a retro motel feel, a new bed and bathroom, and a cool old-style table. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the location works really well for Wenatchee. This Motel 6 delivers value.
