Courtyard Des Moines West/Jordan Creek

The location was convenient, close to other places, but the bathroom in our room was a little dirty. The pool hadn’t been cleaned from the night before, and there was a lot of trash in the parking lots and around the entrances. Breakfast at the bistro cost too much for such small portions.

The assistant GM was incredibly friendly when we checked in, and the lobby smelled amazing. The rest of the stay was miserable, especially after a decade of staying at Marriott properties. The elevator was out, our key cards didn’t work, WiFi was nonexistent, and the cable kept cutting in and out. The heat only worked sometimes, and the bed was hard as a rock. When we checked out, I wanted to tell the front desk about all of this, but nobody was there. We’d stayed at a Hilton a few months earlier because there wasn’t a Marriott near where we needed to be, and that Hilton was phenomenal. I’m incredibly disappointed that coming back to Marriott turned out this way.

I’m a Marriott member and like this hotel’s location. It’s a nice place, and the rooms are clean. The Internet has always been slow when I’ve stayed here, though, and sometimes neither my work tablet nor my personal one will connect. Netflix on the TV takes forever to load too. Pretty disappointing for a Marriott.

Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. There was no hot water, and my room barely got cleaned during my three days there. I had to ask for extra soap about three times.
