They refunded my payment, and I found another room with a great bay view, a balcony, a shared hot tub, and an indoor pool. I ended up extending that stay, so this place lost out on quite a bit more money than it might have if it had handled things properly. I’d booked this hotel for a February break, mainly for the fireplace and jacuzzi tub and the cozy feel. When I arrived, I was assigned a room with no fireplace at all. The desk said the fireplace had broken over the weekend, which seemed like a suspicious explanation since there wasn’t one in the room. They should have told me before I got there. I’d come from another local hotel and lost the whole day, only to be disappointed. I like trying different hotels in OC, but better communication would have made a difference. Do better.

I booked through a third-party site, which put me in a room the hotel didn’t have available, and I was charged twice. Will at the front desk helped me sort out both the room and billing problems with the third party. He was empathetic, patient, and never made me feel like a hassle or sound annoyed. He really eased my frustration. The start of the stay was rough, and none of it was the hotel’s fault, but Will was a pleasure to work with. I hope his manager sees this. He deserves recognition, and the hotel has a great employee.

The food was delicious, and I liked how close the Comfort Inn Suites was to everything I needed. The beach was only a short drive away, which was a big plus. The hotel felt comfortable and welcoming, and I had a very nice stay. My only small issue was that the bathroom water could have been hotter. Everything else was great, and I’d consider staying here again.

We chose this place for a long weekend at a music festival in Ocean City. It’s about a 40-minute walk to the festival, which worked well for us because we could avoid traffic. The room was spacious and clean. The bathtub looked dated and had a lot of yellow stains. I’m also not keen on carpet or shower curtains in hotel rooms, but otherwise the stay was okay.

Teresa, who handled the breakfast hours, really went out of her way to make the stay more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, and the free breakfast had lots of choices and tasted great. The hotel was clean and centrally located, with restaurants close by and Assateague less than ten minutes away.
