Quality Inn & Suites Westminster - Broomfield

The staff's response to my service dog made this stay unacceptable. They tried to charge me extra, even though service dogs aren't pets and can't be charged a pet fee or deposit under the ADA and Colorado law. I explained that calmly, but the front desk was dismissive and rude. One person told me, “at the end of the day it’s still a dog.” I was met with hostility instead of basic customer service, understanding, or compassion, and I won't stay here again. I strongly recommend that anyone with a disability avoid this place. They need better management, training, and an attitude that respects people who rely on service animals. A hotel can't charge a pet fee or deposit for a service dog, charge to clean up its hair or dander, or put the guest in a pet-friendly room or designated area. The handler is responsible for keeping the dog under control, such as with a leash, harness, or voice command, and for damage the dog causes, just as other guests are responsible for damage they cause. Hotels in Colorado can't legally charge a fee for a service dog.

The indoor pool and hot tub were open until 10 pm, and there were places to eat nearby, along with Target for a quick run for anything we needed. Our room was clean, the staff were friendly, and check-in and checkout were easy. Breakfast was decent, always a plus when you're travelling with kids.

We left after only a couple of hours because the room had bedbugs. We told the staff, but they did nothing. They still haven't apologized or refunded us. They don't seem to care about customers or quality. Don't stay here.

Why won't a hotel let you check in at 20? Ridiculous. Does this country just hate young people across the board? Apparently it's fine for them to die around the world, but a hotel check-in is too much. A tour in Iraq makes hotel check-in sound reasonable, right?
