Candlewood Suites Wichita Falls @ Maurine St.

The layout was especially handy, with enough kitchenette space for food and drinks for two nights without giving up room elsewhere. I was also surprised how quiet it was, even though my room was on the first floor across from the lobby. I heard a few footsteps overhead and a little freeway noise, but neither kept me from sleeping. The furniture was somewhat worn and dated, yet the kitchenette, bathroom, and linens were clean and well cared for. Service was excellent: when I had an issue in my first room, the young man at the desk moved me right away.

Lots of thoughtful little extras here. Laundry is free, the gym looked decent, and there’s a lending locker for anything else you might need. Since breakfast is no longer provided, reward members in our party each got a free pantry drink and snack, plus a 15% discount at the Dennys next door. There was also a checkout cart with free muffins, cakes, and juice to take along. Our room was spacious, very clean, and quiet enough that I slept through the night, which is rare for me. Super lovely, and I’d happily stay again.

Don’t let the odd location put you off. The room was like a complete apartment, with a kitchenette and everything, and it was spotless and quiet. The staff were direct, clear, and professional. I’m picky about bedding, but the pillows and bed were extra soft and comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of Dove hand wash, body cream, shampoo, and conditioner. It’s pet friendly, too. Absolutely worth a stay.

The room was clean, had a kitchenette, and the bed was comfortable. I slept well. The area seemed a bit sketchy, though the hotel itself was quiet, and the decor was dated. The blow dryer didn’t work, and I was unhappy about the price difference: I booked through the IHG app at $100.51, then was told at checkout it was actually $111.21. What’s the point of booking online at the price shown if the charge is different? I didn’t feel like arguing with the staff, but I’ll probably avoid this brand.
