I used to love this place. It’s the only establishment where I’ve ever won big money, but that was before Covid, and things haven’t been the same since. I’ve been a paying customer for years and never expected special treatment or to be pampered. I was disappointed by the host’s customer service and lack of basic decency. Our power went out at home, so we had no heat. I have a three-year-old with autism and special needs, plus a newborn born on the 3rd, so we couldn’t go long without heat. The roads and weather were terrible, and the casino hotel was the closest place that wouldn’t require risking a drive in those conditions. Money was tight, so I called the Halls to ask for a discount on one of the hundreds of rooms that seemed available. I wasn’t asking for a free room. I explained the situation and mentioned we’d likely play a little and buy drinks and food too. He said he’d get back to me ASAP with an answer, but didn’t. After an hour I called again, and was told he was busy and would call right back. Then nothing. All he had to do was say no, and I still would have booked. As a sidenote, I called my pleasant and Manistee, and both offered to comp a room for my family. They’re too far away for us to drive, but Turtle Creek Casino has lost my respect. Thanks for nothing.

We had a comfortable room at a discounted rate and a great two-day New Year’s stay. I won $100.00 in free play, too. We have family in the area and met up with them for lunch and dinner.

We had several run-ins with staff who weren’t friendly or helpful. Security confronted our group for taking a selfie with no slots or tables in the background, saying photos were only allowed in a designated area. He kept a confrontational tone for about two minutes. One friend was there for the first time and decided not to play at all afterward. Staff were unfriendly through the night. At The Deli, one person in our group asked for ranch. The employee turned around, rolled her eyes, and said, “another order” in an annoyed way. On our way out, I spoke with Anna and another employee at The Players Box. They were very friendly, upset to hear about our experience, and apologetic. They gave us comment cards to send in, but I don’t think that’s the best way to handle it. I plan to contact management. It was definitely a night of service with no smile.

The room was amazing and made me feel like a queen. The TV was huge, perfect for watching the Super Bowl. Seahawks are amazing! Love Seattle!

I’ve stayed here several times and loved it every visit. It’s a huge casino with lots of fun games, and sometimes there’s live music. It’s easy to get to Traverse City. Already looking forward to coming back.
