Shelly has thought through the little details and really wants guests to feel comfortable. There’s hot chocolate at 4pm, fresh baked cookies in your room, morning coffee at 7am and breakfast at 8am. If you’re heading to the slopes early, she’ll pack you the most delish brekkie. Mt Snow is just 15-18 mins away. The Nutmeg feels like a home away from home, with lots of character. My Queen room was smaller than the photos led me to expect, but perfect for a solo traveller. The stairs to it are narrow and steep, so ask for a ground floor room if you have lots of luggage. Very cozy!

The Nutmeg has become our family’s favorite. We’ve stayed several times over the past 10 years, most recently in January of 2026, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The rooms are dated, but clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. Shelly and her husband make the stay feel personal, the service is impeccable, and breakfast is great. Mt. Snow is only 15 minutes away for skiing. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Nutmeg. The common areas are lovely, and in winter there are ski racks outside. Staff were helpful, and the food was delicious. Breakfast is served, along with soup in the late afternoon for a charge. Highly recommend it.

Breakfast alone would bring us back, it was phenomenal and included in the stay. My wife and I ended up at the nutmeg late at night after a reservation issue at a nearby resort; another inn had sent us their way. They welcomed us right away and quickly found us a room. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the house was quiet. We’ll definitely stay here again.

After a ski day, we loved relaxing in the cozy lounge and having a drink at the bar. Our four nights at The Nutmeg were wonderful, with an exceptionally friendly host and a spotless, comfortable room. Breakfast was the real highlight, absolutely 5 star quality. It’s a gem, and I highly recommend it. We’ll be back.
