It was clean, which I appreciated, and the room itself was nice. But there wasn't a handy outlet by the bedside, so we had to take part of the wall off to reach one for our phones and watches. The elevator was down during the morning checkout rush, and I tried for coffee three times at breakfast but it was all gone. Also, the front desk was unattended several times while we were there. Small things, but they add up. It looks like a newer place.

We brought our pets, enjoyed the hot tub, and liked the breakfast. Everything we wanted was there, and we had a good two-day stay.

The coffee was noticeably better than what I usually get at Fairfield’s, though maybe that's just my impression. The room was clean and comfortable. I do wish it were nearer downtown, but it seems the hotels are all in this area.

The gym was a real highlight for me: roomy and well equipped, with a pull up and cable tower. I’m particular about workout facilities, and this one was awesome. I’ve stayed at plenty of Marriott properties, including Fairfield Inns around the US, and this location stands out as one of the gems. It was clean and updated, a great place to feel at home for the night. Being in Winona is magical, and staying here made the visit even better. I’ll be back.

The breakfast is always ready, thanks to the woman handling it, and the morning guy is already there getting things set up. The staff are amazing and do a fabulous job.
