Days Inn by Wyndham Winston Salem North

It’s a great location, but the upkeep makes it seem like the owner doesn’t care what guests think. I didn’t see housekeeping with a cart or vacuum, and they didn’t seem trained in making beds.

We’re about to leave after four days. This is an older, basic, no-frills hotel at a reasonable price, and it was where we needed to be. All three office staff we dealt with were very nice. We had clean towels, a comfortable bed, blackout shades, and working A/C. I’m a light sleeper and heard no nighttime noise, except for other guests passing once, and they weren’t very loud. We were on the back side with woods behind us and didn’t see any bugs. The walkways, garbage cans, and room had no weed or urine smell. The furniture is old, the bathroom door doesn’t latch, and the non-smoking room did smell like smoke. There was also a burn on the chair and on the side of the tub, but none of that ruined our trip for the price. I can’t say what other guests experienced, but those issues weren’t a problem for us. It’s fine if you’re okay skipping the extras most people don’t use but still pay for.

I made a reservation for today through tomorrow, but my card was declined because she tried to charge more than the agreed price. The reservation printout was right there in front of her, with the total including tax, but she acted like she didn’t know. Watch what gets charged to your card. This happened today, 10/14/2025. I’m going to speak to management.

For $180 for two nights, this felt like a waste of my money and time. I booked a double bed with a hot tub as advertised, but they didn’t have that room and gave me this one instead. It was my birthday, which made it even more disappointing. I asked for a better room or a discount and was refused. They told me I could just check out if I didn’t like it. To make things worse, a woman working there was in a McDonald’s uniform. This was the worst service I’ve ever had with days inn. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
