Courtyard by Marriott Winter Haven

Legoland is across the street, which is really convenient if you're going to the park. There are restaurants and a few shopping options nearby, including TJMaxx. I've stayed at this newer Courtyard a few times and each visit has been great. The place is clean, modern, and sleek, and check-in is always easy. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with a fridge and microwave. There's a nice fire pit, a Starbucks, a full bar and bistro for food and drinks, plus a small market with snacks and basic travel items. I don't like that the only free coffee is what's in the room. Still, it's a good value with comfortable rooms, and I'll keep coming back.

I slept really well here. The room was modern and just the right size for me, and it met or exceeded what I expected. The shower has no door, though, so it doesn't hold in the steam and you can feel cold. Water could also splash out if you're not careful. The staff were very friendly, always greeting me, and I enjoyed working with them.

Seeing trash scattered along the shoreline took away from an otherwise lovely lake view. Hopefully they can address it. The room had a beautiful view of the lake and felt peaceful and relaxing, and the staff were welcoming and very pleasant throughout our visit. The lobby bar and seating areas were spotless, inviting, and well maintained. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Winter Haven, and a cleaner shoreline would make it even better.

The staff were wonderful, especially Kelvin at the front desk, who was kind and helpful getting us settled. The hotel is fairly quiet, though the walls are thin. It's newer, with spacious rooms and within driving distance of most things in Winter Haven and Lake Wales. The beds were too soft, and they didn't give much soap. Free water at the front desk was appreciated. There's plenty of parking, but some guests with large vehicles and boats took multiple spaces during my stay, leaving a lot fewer available.
