The worst hotel experience my wife and I have ever had. The rooms were clean and the beds were made, but the rest of the stay was awful. We were disabled veterans, and the bathtub had no grip at all, making it like a slip n slide. The elevator had urine in it, and the first night we woke up to our room full of marijuana smoke. It felt like another guest had turned the whole floor into a walk in bong. The following nights brought the same weed smell, doors slamming, dogs barking, and kids running up and down the hall at 2:30 in the morning. They seemed to have decided not to follow Wyndham guidelines and allow long term stays. When we asked for our money back, they refused because we’d paid in advance. On the third night, there was more noise, then just as we were finally falling asleep, another resident seemed to be fighting with and physically abusing his wife or girlfriend. The hotel kicked them out, but didn’t call the sheriff to protect the victim. They still wouldn’t refund us or send us to another property. The last night, the weed smell was back inside the hotel. There was a sign in the dining area asking guests not to eat too much because the employees needed the food. The breakfast didn’t meet Wyndham standards either. They served sausage and egg, but the generic sausage tasted disgusting, and each serving had eggs cut in half. I was told this was because the owner had put in a new pool chlorinator after the “health inspector screwed them,” instead of improving the hotel itself. This is not Wyndham standards. The building still says Baymont by Wyndham and is listed as a hotel, not long term stay. This isn’t corporate.
