I’d gladly stay here again if I come back to the area. I spent two nights here, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean. One thing for travelers to know is that breakfast isn’t hot food like eggs or bacon. They had juice, small cereal boxes and milk, bagels to toast, cream cheese, peanut butter, and wrapped pastries. I think there was also something that needed syrup, maybe waffles.

The internet kept cutting out, and even though I paid extra for late checkout, staff were banging on my door at 11 am. Food left by previous guests was scattered across the floor, and there were gross smears on the walls and door frames. Mold was growing in the bathroom. I complained directly to Wyndham, but they didn’t offer to move me or do anything like that. I was on the second floor and could hear the person above me walking around day and night. The shower curtain smelled awful and was pink and black with mold, though they did replace it. The hairdryer would shut off for hours at a time, and the safety piece was missing from the back, so it pulled my hair out. This experience wasn’t cheap enough to put up with. Stay somewhere else if you can.
The location is the only thing this place has going for it. Even at $82 a night, it was no bargain. I checked in Saturday, and by Monday night my room still hadn’t been serviced. When I asked for towels, the front desk clerk told me to collect them and bring them to him. That’s not my job. The shower was dirty when I arrived, the shower head barely worked, and the fiberglass shower was cracked. The “manager” warned me not to soil the linens or I’d be charged. The room felt like it hadn’t been upgraded since the 1970s. There were no USB ports, and the plug by the bed was hidden under the nightstand. No one should have to pay for this dump.
We first came here in 2010, when my wife and I had just started dating and wanted to get away from family and everyone else. It’s been a regular place for us ever since. I love this hotel. We were first drawn by the Jacuzzi rooms, and although they removed those during construction, this is still one of my favorite places to stay. From the moment we arrive until we leave, the staff make us feel at home and like we’re the most important people in the world. Everyone is pleasant and willing to work through any issue. The front desk gentleman goes above and beyond, as does everyone else. Last night the alarms went off because of an issue, but the staff handled it quickly, shut them off almost immediately, and checked that everyone was okay. The overnight woman at the desk in scrubs was especially kind and on top of things. It’s a small hotel in a major chain, but talking with the staff, day or night, feels like chatting with a best friend. The carpet is thin, so it’s easy to walk or roll through in a wheelchair. I hope they keep up that welcoming feeling.
The only thing I’d change is the bathroom counter space. My main concern was the handrails and bench in the accessible tub and shower, which seemed low and made it a little difficult to get in, get out, and stand up from the bench. The staff were great and very accommodating. The room and bathroom were clean, the beds comfortable, and the A/C worked really well. It was worth the money, and I’ll stay again.
