The staff and location were great, but I wouldn't stay here again. The bed was much too hard for both of us, and neither slept well. I also found the room too warm, with no temperature control. The hallway from the elevator to our room was extremely hot and smelled awful. I don't know what that smell was.

The hotel is an older, cool building that's been remodeled nicely. It was clean and the service was good, and I'd stay again. The garage itself was bright and clean, with roomy spaces that weren't packed, so door dings seemed unlikely. Getting there was the unnerving part: you turn off a busy road onto a steep driveway and have to stop at the security gate to use your card while heading downhill. At the bottom, it levels out and you have to turn around support posts. Going slowly helped. Coming in from the garage, two open service doors by the elevator made the basement feel a little creepy. I thought they should have been closed.

The noise on Yakima Blvd was the biggest downside. Locals seem to cruise the avenue late into the night, and people even brought lawn chairs to watch customized cars go by. Though we were in a room three from the street, we could hear it through the evening, along with police sirens all night. That's Yakima, I guess. It would affect the sister property next door, Hilton Garden Inn, too. The room was spacious and nice, with a comfortable bed and high ceilings. This is a unique Hilton right on Yakima's main drag, with typical amenities, but the hall carpets looked dirty and worn and could use an update. There's also only one elevator for five floors, which was a little annoying. The location was the main thing that brought the rating down.

The high ceilings made my room feel airy, and it was quite nice and spacious. Yakima St can be noisy, so a room away from it would be better. Very nice overall.

The staff were easily the best part, friendly and helpful. The lobby looks pretty, but the rooms don't match the effort put into that first impression. Rooms were fine, though not enough for the price, and I did get a decent night's sleep. I wouldn't stay again. I expected the fifth-floor carpet to have been replaced. Reviews from 2024 said updates were due by the end of that year, but by the end of July 2025 it was still lifting up, making luggage hard to roll and creating a tripping hazard. The downtown location sounds like it should be a perk, but walking around felt very unsafe. There were people on every corner acting high on drugs, shouting and approaching others. This isn't the hotel's fault, but it affected our stay. We only walked a few blocks before turning back because it was so uncomfortable. Lots of cities face this issue, but with little happening downtown during the week, it felt even more pronounced. Check-in and parking were chaotic too. You have to use short-term street parking to check in and get a garage key, then circle the blocks to reach the garage. That gets harder when traffic is busy.
