Motel 6 York, NE

Never again. We booked online for two people and a king bed, and got that, but there were only two tiny pillows, one towel, and basically two sheets for covers. Bring your own pillows and blankets, I guess. The microwave was missing its turntable, the TV remote barely worked, and the staff weren't very sociable. Definitely not a motel I'd recommend.

A very scary night. An officer advised us against staying here. The walls are thin, and an alcoholic guest next door reported us to law enforcement for being loud when we were only talking. He pounded hard on our door twice. Management came to my door, and I explained I was in bed while my friend had just gotten into the shower. She heard the pounding from the bathroom and got out quickly. I have a Criminal Justice degree and have never dealt with anything like this. This Motel 6 needs remodeling or should shut down. There was no microwave in the room, and the ice machine was still out of order.

We were exhausted after a long trip, and though they moved us to another room, it was almost as bad as the first. By then it was very late, and we tried to sleep, but couldn't really rest knowing what the place was like. From the moment we entered, everything looked dirty and poorly kept. The sheets were stained and wrinkled, as if several people had slept in the bed and it had simply been made to look clean. The room phone didn't work, so we had to call the front desk on our own cell to report it. This is the worst impression I've had of a motel. I regret not checking the reviews beforehand, as I usually do.

I've been living here for over a month. I stayed before when the rooms were bad, but they're so much cleaner now. The motel looks a lot better than it used to. The housekeeper works hard, does an awesome job, and is very friendly. She makes sure customers get help when they need it. I'll rent here again!
