The lobby and rooms were very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had omelettes, hash browns and sausage, along with the usual cereal and waffles. I was impressed with the hotel. We didn’t have time to try the pool or hot tub.

Laura made check-in pleasant at first. She was professional and helpful, but the rest of the stay went downhill. Housekeeping was supposed to come daily. I asked for service by 2 PM Wednesday, but nobody showed. On Thursday, after the ongoing lack of service, I decided to leave early, even though the booking ran through Saturday. I told the front desk I was checking out early and didn’t need housekeeping. Even so, staff entered while we were still checked in. They threw away our food even though the room was plainly occupied and tidy. Actual trash was overflowing on the floor in a corner. The Cracker Barrel takeout boxes were stacked neatly on the nightstand between the beds. The pancakes were gone, but the syrup bottles beside them were left behind, so calling them mistaken for trash didn’t make sense. A separate bag of sealed snacks above the mini-fridge was also discarded. The room wasn’t properly cleaned either: beds made and towels changed, but surfaces left unwiped and toiletries untouched. I’d only needed the trash taken out. When I reported it, the front desk kept suggesting we look in the dumpster for the food. I had to ask several times if they were serious, since that wasn’t a reasonable fix. Later, they called to say housekeeping admitted throwing out the bag, then offered that the housekeeper could “buy the exact items.” That suggests someone had looked through the bag and knew what was inside, so it didn’t seem like an honest mistake. They said Expedia bookings weren’t eligible for a refund or compensation, and offered a vague future credit if I returned. I declined. That doesn’t address the loss or service problem. I was traveling with my five-year-old, and had bought those snacks ahead of time to make a long travel day easier and avoid extra stops. The missed housekeeping, entry without permission, discarded belongings, and lack of meaningful compensation led me to check out early. This fell well below reasonable hospitality.

My family and I came from California to spend time with my new grandbaby, and we had a pleasant two-night stay. The room and property were clean, organized, and well kept. Everyone on staff treated us with respect and kindness. Thank you so much for the hospitality. We’ll be back before long. God bless!

Easy parking, friendly staff, and both the room and hotel were clean. There were no odd smells. The bed was a little firm, but that was fine, and the bathroom and water pressure were good. Bring your own pillow, though. The ones there are tiny, like couch pillows.
