Hotel de la Torre

A nice place in an awesome location.

A really excellent place.

The location is a big plus, right opposite Anaconda Beach, and you can borrow beach chairs and umbrellas, though there aren't many, so bringing your own is a good idea. The hotel has plenty to use: a big pool with loungers and umbrellas, ping pong and a pool table, plus grills and tables for a barbecue. They lend out dishes, but you have to wash and return them yourself. You can also order food and eat in the dining room, where they provide dishes, cutlery and glasses. There's a microwave and an electric kettle too. The room was fine and everything worked, although the bathroom fixtures are a little old. A couple of times around midday, the shower had no hot water 😑. At night it was fine. Staff were polite, but not especially friendly. Breakfast was okay, though the choices and taste weren't much to write home about. For the nightly price, which isn't exactly cheap, I expected it to be better.

A well-kept hotel that's around 40 or 50 years old, with a lovely outdoor pool and comfortable, very clean rooms. Breakfast was good, served in a roomy dining area, and the staff were really attentive. It's practically on Los Botes Beach, about 50 meters away, and only a few minutes from downtown.
