We love coming back to Brisas. This was our third stay, and somehow they manage to surprise us every year. The staff are always friendly and take care of whatever we need, making us feel like family. We especially enjoy our upper-floor BAHIA room, with its lovely design, generous space, and great views. Already looking forward to another visit.

The room was roomy, and the bed was comfortable. Nights were quiet, so sleeping was easy. We also appreciated being close to the beach and having plenty of parking. The staff were welcoming and had good suggestions. We had a wonderful stay at Brisas.

This place may have been nice when Conde Nast praised it about eight years ago, but it’s gone downhill badly. The showers had mold, and the place wasn’t clean. I don’t think the top sheets are changed between guests. There were lots of mosquitoes and no screens, so opening the windows wasn’t an option. Breakfast was awful: bread, a few very sweet cakes, plain yogurt, some cantaloupe, and, for the last few days, orange juice that tasted like fish (?). The little things were missing too, like tissues, face cloths, lotion, and slippers. Shampoo and body wash weren’t clearly labeled; one was the same green as the hand soap, the other a darker green. This was nothing like what was advertised. I’d avoid it and rent a house in La Pedrera instead, since you seem likely to get as much or more for your money.
