Hotel Bibihojar

It's a small, comfortable, family-style hotel that's still growing. The staff put in a lot of effort to take care of whatever you need. I was treated with great hospitality and would recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of welcome.

The rooms were good and clean.

A small hotel with roomy, nicely decorated rooms, plenty of staff, and a good breakfast. Everyone was friendly and ready to help, especially the kind, polite receptionist. The hotel is a short walk from Itchan Kala. Just be aware that its street is unpaved and dusty. It was very cold when we visited, so I’d suggest covering at least part of the terrace. Otherwise, food and drinks cool down too quickly.

The room was a decent size, nicely finished, and had an extremely comfortable mattress. The staff were kind and attentive, but my experience with the manager was very bad. Our reservation was cancelled during our stay to avoid commissions, apparently after we’d already paid. The manager was rude and aggressive, which felt unlike Uzbek standards. The bathroom smelled, the shower pressure was poor, and hot water was frequently unavailable. Nobody cleaned our room during the three nights. Breakfast was poor and stale, and food wasn’t replenished. The breakfast room had only three tables, and we waited 20 minutes, so we stopped eating there after the first day. We paid $200 for three nights. Booking had listed everything as included, including tourist taxes, but we were charged another $20: $180 for the room, $20 in tourist taxes, and $20 in city taxes. That last tax wasn’t clearly explained. It’s a hotel with potential, but it’s badly managed and needs to be reviewed.
