The family are lovely, and the meals are huge and delicious, so come hungry! The location is perfect too. When the old town gets too hot to keep exploring, you can take a break in your room.

The old town location is good, and my room was nice. The family were friendly even though most of them don't speak English, which made things a little awkward at times. The curtains were see-through, so they didn't block the sun or car lights at night. Wi-Fi was very unstable, there was no shower soap or shampoo, and you have to put toilet paper in the bin. Breakfast was okay but not the best I've had on my trip. It included reheated pasta and french fries, and I wondered where the watermelon was, hehe. Water was available all the time. Checkout was frustrating: I waited a long time at the desk, but they couldn't explain why because of the language barrier. In the end, it was just for a receipt I didn't need, since I'd paid in full at check-in. Still, it was a good affordable option for a solo traveller right in the middle of the old town.

The hosts were especially thoughtful. They stayed warm, attentive, helpful, and flexible, always there when we needed them, while also giving us privacy and seeming to know just when to step in. They're a lovely family, and the atmosphere was peaceful and respectful. The place itself is simple and home-like, but perfectly adequate and immaculately clean, with beautiful traditional designs. It's in a fantastic spot, close to everything we wanted to do while tucked away somewhere quieter. Breakfast was a wonderful spread, with all sorts of treats served whenever we chose. We felt comfortable and at peace, and can't recommend it enough. Thank you so much, Khiva Karim Sulton guesthouse!

The family were lovely hosts, and the beds were comfortable. It's an excellent place to stay, a very short distance from the main attractions.
