Meros B&B

The hosts were wonderful, helping with food and offering guidance whenever we needed it. Meros B & B itself feels like a step into Khiva's history, and the whole place is a work of art. Each room has its own distinctive ceiling painting. Check in and see for yourself.

We were welcomed with tea, and my husband and I had a fantastic dinner up on the roof, with an incredible view over the city. The B&B is ideally placed near Khiva's north gate, with lovely furniture and colorful decorations. The value for the price was great too.

We spent five wonderful days at Meros. Jaloladdin and his family are warm, helpful, and professional, and made us feel at home. They can arrange tours and suggest things to do and places to eat, both inside and outside the walled city. The B&B is beautiful and authentic, one of the oldest in town, and you can really feel Khiva's history there. There's also a lovely terrace with a great view. It's on a quiet street, just a minute's walk from the main sights. Breakfast was plentiful, freshly made, and delicious every morning. The only small drawback was the WiFi, which wasn't great in the bedrooms but worked well in the shared area.

We had dinner on the rooftop at sunset on both nights, and the food was delicious with lovely views. The family who run Meros are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's right in the heart of Khiva's old center, yet the place is peaceful and quiet. Our room was clean and simple, with a beautiful painted ceiling.
