It's in a quiet residential area, and there are a few parking spaces for guests. The staff are helpful and available around the clock if needed. Rooms are spacious, the mattresses are good quality, and it stays quiet at night. Breakfast is self-service and included. There's also an outdoor pool in summer.

I was really disappointed with this booking. I arrived at 8:30 p.m. and was told my room had electrical and water problems, so they moved me to the hotel across the street, which had fewer facilities and was awful. They hadn't told me about the change, even though they had messaged me at 1 p.m. that day to ask when I would arrive. I'd booked expecting a larger room, a bigger bed, and the other facilities. This was unacceptable, but arriving so late left me with no choice. I checked out early the next morning. They only take cash, not cards.

The pool was the main reason I wouldn't give the hotel 5/5. Our room was right by its entrance, and when the filtration system switched on, the noise and gurgling came through the weak soundproofing. One night it kept us awake until 1 a.m., and reception said they couldn't turn it off. If you stay here, I'd ask for a room away from the pool. It might be quieter upstairs, but from the ground floor next to it, you hear a lot. There was plenty to like as well. We stayed three nights in Tashkent and arrived around 5 or 6 a.m. on the first day; having reception available around the clock was reassuring. Our room was spacious and clean, everything worked, including the air conditioner, kettle, and fridge. The round bed was comfortable. The shower had good pressure, no leaks, and reliable hot and cold water. For two people, we had about six towels, two bottles of shampoo, solid soap, and two toothbrushes. A couple more hangers and a hygienic shower would have been useful. Water was available at reception, but not brought to the room. There were tea bags in the kitchen and four in the room when we checked in. Breakfast was pretty good, though most of it was greasy, and it kept us full until lunch. The location was decent: a Yandex Taxi to the center cost $3-4, and Makro supermarket and Mazzali cookery were about a 10-minute walk away, with inexpensive food. We could use the iron in the laundry room, heat food in the microwave, and eat in the kitchen at any time. There wasn't anywhere to wash dishes, though, so I had to take them to the room and use ordinary soap. The pool next to us was cold, but that was probably a plus in Tashkent's heat. We swam a couple of times and enjoyed it; the water looked clean. I paid by card, but contactless payments like Apple Pay don't work here, so bring a physical card. For the price, the hotel is good value, and I can recommend it.

The hotel was great, and so was the service. The staff were helpful with any issues, especially Abdulaziz and Janhongir. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Ak Saray Hotel made getting around easy. The staff arranged my airport transfer and helped me book a taxi when I left, while being friendly, helpful, and professional. My room was huge, very clean, and had reliable Wi-Fi. There's a small outdoor pool that's a nice place to unwind. The hotel is on a quieter backstreet, but I thought it was great value for the price. I'd definitely recommend it for a visit to Tashkent.
