Reikartz Sote Tashkent Hotel

I was told at Reikartz Sote, a 4* hotel, that technical issues meant they had no room for me and had booked another hotel instead. The first alternative was about 5km away and nowhere near a metro station. It was 3*, so I refused. They then put me in Reikartz Xon, also 3*, around a 20-minute walk from the metro and far from the part of the city I needed. Reikartz Xon was a poor budget hotel. The air conditioning rattled 24/7, breakfast was lousy, and there was very little left by 9am even though it was supposed to run until 10am. When I got up for food, staff cleared away my teapot, unused cup, and tea bags just seconds after I'd set them down. There were only four other people in the room, so they seemed easily confused or inattentive. I could hear guests talking in other rooms at night too, so noise was an issue. Reikartz Sote said I'd get a refund through the agent. I followed up with Trip.com, but they didn't secure one. The whole thing was unsatisfactory. I wouldn't recommend booking Reikartz Sote if you don't want to arrive thousands of miles from home and find your booking won't be honoured, leaving you in a lower-class hotel. My stay at Reikartz Xon also gave me the impression that Reikartz hotels are poor quality with poor service, and it seemed dishonest that Reikartz didn't honour the refund they said I could have. I was hugely dissatisfied.

For usd 90.00 a night, it's reasonable. The rooms are spacious, and it's close to Tashkent city mall.

The location is great and the staff were very helpful. A really good hotel, highly recommend.
