Safarov's Family Hostel

Ibrohim and Mukaddas were two of the kindest people I’ve met. They helped me sort out a local SIM, since YandexGo doesn’t work without one, suggested great places to eat, and got breakfast ready early before I left for Samarkand. When I came back, they upgraded me to a family room that felt like a four-star hotel room, with some privacy as well. Safarov's Family Hostel is the only luxury hostel I’ve stayed in. The reception area is huge, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and the sheets and towels get changed every day. I haven’t seen anything like it elsewhere. This is the best hostel I’ve stayed in. You’ve got to try it!

It’s a cozy, modern, clean hostel, and I stayed there for two nights with a friend. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s a balcony and a comfortable shared lounge. The staff are welcoming and available at any time, and the flexible check-in is a real plus. It’s also not far from the train station or airport, which is handy if you arrive in Tashkent at night. The owner seems to have put his own travel experience to good use. I stayed for a couple of days around July 2025, and this was one of the best hostels I’ve been to in a while, in Uzbekistan or elsewhere. It’s spacious and very clean throughout, with big showers, a main hall, a work and study room, a roomy kitchen with boiled water available 24/7, and two balconies. I’d have liked sturdier, less shaky beds and more storage for larger luggage. There’s a locker for essentials and storage outside the room for the rest. One day, a professionally trained cellist played live in the main hall for everyone, which was a wonderful surprise. I wanted to stay a couple more days before leaving Uzbekistan but couldn’t. I hope to come back sometime. The place left me with good feelings overall 🙌

Good value for a stay in Tashkent. The bed, bathrooms, and shared spaces at Safarov were well equipped and looked after, and the staff were great at explaining things and giving directions. The Wi-Fi worked well, and there’s a supermarket nearby. Breakfast is served daily, though it’s the same menu each day. Yaxshi!
