Meliá Caracas

The internet connection is awful, and all the rooms smell of dust and mold. I really regret staying here. The service has been terrible, and they won't even bring you water. They told me guests only get one complimentary bottle on the first night, while my colleagues had three bottles in their rooms. Then they had the nerve to say a small bottle, a basic human need, costs five dollars. Even when I tried to buy one with my own money, I had to call four times, only to be told they wouldn't bring it. At this point it's a joke nobody laughs at. I've never hated a place this much. It's a definite no from me.

The facilities and service are first class, with lounges, restaurants, a pool, and spacious rooms to enjoy. It's a luxurious five-star hotel for people with refined tastes. I'd recommend it for business or family trips. The rooms are worth mentioning too.

I came from another country and have no cellular service here. They put me in a room without a Wi-Fi signal, so I can't contact friends or family unless I go to the lobby. Incredibly inconvenient.

The hotel has an antique look, with old-style interior design and furniture, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and top rated. Many speak English. The internet kept dropping on the 12th floor and didn't work at all in the lobby. Restaurant service is room service only, apart from the breakfast buffet. The rooms were short on amenities that seem basic nowadays. There was no iron or kettle, and the safety deposit boxes didn't work. We had to ask for these items, and apparently there weren't many available. The hotel is rated 4-5 stars.
