We rented Mokes from them last year on a rainy day, and drove carefully since we had kids with us. When we brought them back, we were shocked to find random extra cleaning fees. Nobody had mentioned those when we rented them. There was a charge to wash the vehicle, plus a separate one to clean the engine. Complete TOURIST TRAP! We used Amazing Rentals after that, and they’ve been super helpful. I’ve also seen several other channels and posts mention the Reef Hotel charging ridiculous, random tourist trap fees.

The bugs are a real problem here. Bring bug spray, especially if you’re going out to dinner, since the no see ems seem to want to eat while you do. Things are in disrepair, as they are in much of the BVI.

Lorraine was amazing, so kind and helpful, and very accommodating. The hotel is right on the beach, in a perfect location, and breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend staying here when you’re in Anegada.

The breakfast was okay, but the drinks were small and the most expensive we found. Being right at the charter dock also makes the location no good for swimming.

Dinner with your feet in the sand, the ocean just meters away and stars overhead, is a lovely part of staying here. The rooms are simple, but have the things that matter: solid wifi, cold AC, hot water, and comfy beds. The dock right out front is handy when you arrive by boat, and we always make good use of the honor bar. Staff are friendly and relaxed, and the whole place is so calming that your problems seem to melt away. We always love staying here when we come over from STT.
