Starz Hotel

I chose this hotel because it was affordable and ended up finding a real gem. It's clean, the staff are friendly, and when I had trouble with a local rental car agency, the kind woman at the desk came out to help arrange a rental. The price for the car was great, as was the hotel deal. The rooms are basic, but for experienced travelers who want a clean, safe, inexpensive place, that's all you may need if your days are already planned. Starz hotel also has a game room and a kitchen, and the car rental service was great. I'll be back on my next visit in a month or so.

The one good part was the bar, where the food was good and the two women working there were great. Beyond that, I wouldn't stay here unless it were my last option. The location isn't great and there's no view. The rooms are extremely small, the TV didn't work, and it felt more like a motel. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, breakfast wasn't offered, and I found stains on the pillowcases. The staff were very rude and unwelcoming.

The rooms are very clean, but so small that this feels like a place to sleep rather than relax. The hotel is close to the airport and has a restaurant that opens at 16:30, with prices average for the island. There isn't much parking and the lot is small. A loud bar downstairs can keep things noisy late into the night, and the internet didn't work most of the time.

Every question or concern was met with attitude, ignorance, or just brushed off. The service was terrible from beginning to end, and customer service was even worse. It felt like they truly didn't care about their guests. When you're paying, basic respect and hospitality are the least you expect, and this hotel couldn't manage even that. I'm really disappointed with the stay and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Do better.
