The room was huge and had a window looking out onto the street. Service was quick, and when I found the shower head was broken, they replaced it that same day. I was very happy with my stay at Sao Mai Hotel. There’s no pool, and the karaoke from the dance and music club next door was loud on a couple of nights, though it stopped by 10:15pm.

There’s a café beside the hotel, and breakfast is served at the restaurant inside. The place is centrally located, with clean rooms and friendly staff who are helpful to tourists. To get to Thuan Viet restaurant, turn right when you leave and walk for about 15 minutes.

We stopped in Cao Lanh on the way from Ho Chi Minh City to Rach Gia, and the hotel was well placed for parks, food, and other services. The receptionists were really helpful. Rooms were clean and affordable, and the included breakfast buffet was above average for a smaller city in VN. They also offer massage services and karaoke. I’d recommend staying here in Cao Lanh.
