Chi Nguyen Hotel

We only stayed a second night because every other hotel in our price range was full. We had three rooms over two nights, and it took until the third to find one decent enough to sleep in. The first was full of mosquitoes and had ants, so the hotel gave us spray. That night, during a thunderstorm and heavy rain, water came through the ceiling into our ground-floor room. It also smelled like an open drain or sewer. In the second room, the sink siphon was loose and water ran onto the floor. The third room was usable, though the bathroom vanity where the sink was mounted was loose too. The hotel is well outside the city centre and below par. The pool is listed as an amenity, but it has been shut down and is now a pool structure filled with murky brown-black water, a perfect mosquito breeding spot. The staff were friendly and spoke okay English, and the bed was huge by Vietnamese standards. At 1.96 m, I fit easily alongside my 1.80 m partner. I'd avoid this place if you can.
