The One Da Lat Hotel

The room was comfortable, clean, nicely designed, and had beautiful views. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. I had a relaxing, enjoyable stay at this 5-star hotel and highly recommend it.

Close to the city center, with spacious, clean, beautiful rooms that have everything you need. The staff are really friendly and enthusiastic. I'd definitely come back, and I think everyone would be happy here!!! 😁😁🥰🥰

There were some good points: the area itself was quiet, apart from evening construction on a very large hotel complex nearby. The bed was really big, and they arranged a taxi on time. But there were far more problems than we expected. The One Hotel Dalat is a small villa with about eight rooms. It advertises itself as a new, upscale, polished place with a pool and a long list of activities. There is no pool at all. Having one was a firm condition for us when booking, and one reason we accepted a location far from the center. The hotel blamed the booking app for the mistake, but didn't try to find us a nearby place where we could swim. Days later, the misleading information was still online, including in searches for hotels with swimming pools. That makes it seem like customers are being deliberately misled. We booked a 40m2 one-bedroom apartment with a good-looking kitchen and a large table for four. The kitchen had no utensils at all except two coffee cups: no plates, pans, chopsticks, or spoons. The manager said, “the guest bring their own.” I was lucky to have brought a fruit knife, spoon, fork, scissors, and vegetable peeler for a simple cold breakfast. Before midnight on the first night, loud, constant stamping and work sounds started in the room above us, with vibrations too. It went on until 3 a.m. and sounded like furniture or objects being moved around, or urgent physical work. I can't explain it as normal or even unusual nighttime activity by people. The construction seems like a design and building failure, with long unsupported spans that don't filter sound, and cheap work made to look nice. You can see that throughout the place. They also advertise wheelchair access, but you'd need friends to carry a wheelchair up the stairs. The advertised parking is for bikes, not cars. Some people nearby park on the pedestrian walkways in the public park. Barbecue is listed too, even though there's no garden, balcony, or rooftop terrace. Booking should make them take the inaccurate information down. The kitchen items in the photos, including a knife, fork, spoon, peeler, kitchen towel, and flannel, were ours. The hotel provided none of them. This was in Feb/March 2025. One last point: most of the positive Google Maps reviews seem to come from people with only one, two, or three reviews, so they may be fake or paid. Be aware!

There is no air conditioning anywhere in the hotel. Our room had a few tiny windows, but even with them open, there was no proper airflow and it was hard to breathe. The person at reception didn't speak English and didn't seem to care.
