A Thia Homestay

Hien, the owner, was lovely, spoke excellent English, and made delicious fried spring rolls. Her husband and brother were friendly and helpful too, using Google Translate to communicate since they don't speak English. We stayed in a Premium Double Room, which was much better than I expected and great value for the low price. It's a short way off the main road, away from some of the town's dust and noise. The other foreign guests were friendly and interesting. If we ever come back to Dien Bien Phu, we'd consider staying at A Thia Homestay again, especially on a budget.

We never actually got to stay at A Thia, but Hien was still available to arrange our transfer to Laos during the Tet Holidays, which seemed almost impossible to organize. We hope we can return one day to relax at their lovely place outside Dien Bien Phu, surrounded by rice fields. Many thanks for being so helpful and kind!

The home dinners were fantastic, and our hosts were so kind and helpful. We had a great three days there, in a big room with an incredible view of the rice fields and distant mountains. A big thanks to our hosts.

Ms.Hien is what makes this place. The stay isn't a top option, though it's clean enough. You can order lunch or dinner, and she prepares it as a home-cooked meal. Thanks.
